Good morning fellow disciples.
Today we continue to look at some choices that were made in the Bible. To choose means: “to select freely and after consideration, to have a preference for, or to take an alternative”. The question that we always have to answer is this, ” When I am faced with a choice, what will I choose to do?”
One of the biggest decisions that we have to make in our lives is whether to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior or not. Making this choice will either bring us back into right standing with God or keep us away from Him. Jesus is the only way for us to be a part of the kingdom of God. When we accept Him and all that He did to free us from sin and to bring us back into fellowship with God, then we become children of God. My question to you today is this, “will you choose to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior?”
When Peter preached the first sermon after Pentecost showing that Jesus Christ was the Messiah the people who heard him were faced with making a choice. Here are a few verses to show what happened.
When they heard this, they came under deep conviction and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles: “Brothers, what must we do? ” Acts 2:37 HCSB
“Repent,” Peter said to them, “and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38 HCSB
Do you want to be a part of God’s Kingdom and have constant fellowship with Him? If your answer is yes, then Repent and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Prayer: Father God there are so many choices in this world to make. When it comes to finding You and living for You and living with You there’s only one choice that can make that a reality. That choice is to choose to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord, my savior, and my king.
Lord Jesus today I repent of my sins, please forgive me and baptize me with Your Holy Spirit and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit I receive You as the gift from Father God and I will submit your leading, teaching and counsel for as long as I live.
Thank You Father God for accepting me as Your child and making me a member of Your Family. Hallelujah, thank You Jesus! I am free! I am a member of Your Kingdom Family! Amen.
