Good morning fellow disciples.
To choose means: “to select freely and after consideration, to have a preference for, or to take an alternative”. The question that we always have to answer is this, ” When I am faced with a choice, what will I choose to do?”
“When the Counselor comes, the One I will send to you from the Father — the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father — He will testify about Me. John 15:26 HCSB
Did it ever occur to you that the Holy Spirit chose to be obedient to God and Jesus, and came of His own free will to be with us? Did it ever occur to you that if He didn’t come then God’s plan for us would be halted? Did it ever occur to you that if He didn’t come to testify about Jesus that we wouldn’t be able to be proper witnesses?
Did it ever occur to you that without Him there would be no power to proclaim the gospel? Did it ever occur to you that when we preach the gospel that all the accompanying signs and wonders would not occur without Him?
These are just a few questions for us to realize how awesome it is to have Holy Spirit in our presence. What would we be without Him? Would the kingdom of God really advance?
Prayer: Holy Spirit we are grateful for Your choice to be with us. Without You, we would not be whole. We thank You for being with us from now even until the end of the age. With You we are bold and we have the power to be effective witnesses of the Lord Jesus Christ and the kingdom of God.
We choose to submit to Your lordship in our lives. We are your temple! So Fill us now Holy Spirit, and disciple us to be effective ambassadors of the kingdom of God. Amen.
