Caring Church

By Andrew Williams

Philippians 2:4 NLT -Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

Good morning fellow disciples.

Jesus commanded His disciples to love one another.

‘So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” ‘ John 13:34-35

Jesus didn’t look out for his own interest. His love for us was self-sacrificial. He gave up His life so that we could be redeemed.

As His church, we also need to show love one to another, emulating Jesus Christ!

The fact that Paul tells the Philippians to be caring towards one another means that somewhere along the way they had forgotten Jesus’ commandment to love one another. Does your church need this reminder today?

Is your church caring? Do the members look out for the interests of each other?

Prayer: Father God, help us to care for each other and look out for the interests of one another. Amen.
