Scripture: Now concerning things offered to idols: We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies. I Corinthians 8:1 NKJV
Observation: As a child my father told me that the way to get ahead in life was to get an education. So I tried my very best to be smart and knowledgeable. But as I have grown older I have come to realize that no matter how smart or knowledgeable you are, if you don’t use that knowledge with Love then it’s not worth anything.
When we focus on our knowledge we tend to become haughty and tend to discriminate against other persons. But when we truly love, we use love to build up other persons.
Application: I will walk in Love and use Love to build up those with whom I come in contact with. I will use my knowledge, BUT, I will use it lovingly to help others.
Prayer: Father God help me to walk in love so that I will build up others. I will humbly live according to the knowledge and wisdom that comes from You God. I surrender my life to you so that I will walk in Your love , just like Jesus Christ did, Amen.
