Acts of the Apostles 13:52 NLT- And the believers were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.
Good morning fellow disciples.
Have you ever wanted something so badly that you thought that only special people were able to get?
What did you do when you realized that you two were able to receive what you so greatly desired?
When Paul and Barnabas preached in Antioch, the Jews refused the message of salvation. Afterwards, Paul went to the Gentiles and preached the gospel to them. The Gentiles were receptive of God’s good news, and they became believers in Christ.
Even though Paul and Barnabas were chased from Antioch, the believers were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit. You might be wondering why they were filled with joy. If you had received the most wonderful news possible and received God’s Holy Spirit, wouldn’t you be filled with joy no matter what the circumstances were?
My fellow disciple, no matter what you’re going through, be filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit!
There is nothing greater than being a child of God who is filled with His Holy Spirit, sent out to make disciples for His Kingdom.
Prayer: Father God, I am filled with joy and with Your Holy Spirit. I will boldly go into all places to preach Your gospel and to make disciples for You. Amen.
