“And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.” I Kings 17:1 NKJV
Good morning fellow disciples.
What is your relationship with God like? Before Him, do you: run, hide, cower in fear, kneel, or stand? In the Bible, most persons run, hide, cower in fear or fall on their knees before Him. Only a few persons have claimed to “stand before God”.
What makes these persons so special that they could actually stand in God’s presence? Honestly, I don’t really know, but I would like to be like them. Elijah, Elisha, and the angel Gabriel stood in the presence of God. Abraham and Moses walked before God. These guys all had godly/holy relationships and fellowship with God.
What is your relationship with God like? Are you surrendered, submitted, obedient to, and relying on God like Elijah? If you are then you can proclaim boldly like Elijah: “As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word”!
Prayer: Father God, before whom I stand, like Elijah I will proclaim Your word boldly to anyone that You send me to. Amen.
