Be Patient in Trouble

By Andrew Williams

Romans‬ ‭12:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬- Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Good morning fellow disciples.

Are you patient in times of trouble?

Are you patient in:
1. Distress, annoyance, or difficulty,
2. Physical distress or ill health,
3. Public unrest or disturbance
4. Doing something badly or only with great difficulty,
5. Inconvenience, or
6. Unhappiness or sadness?

It’s hard to remain patient in times of trouble. Troubling times and situations test our patience, focus, and godly character.

Romans‬ ‭12:12‬ ‭gives us the formula for remaining patient in trouble.

Firstly, we need to keep rejoicing in our confident hope! Our hope is in God and His promises!

Secondly, we need to focus on being patient instead of focusing on the trouble!

And thirdly, we need to keep on praying! When you pray, don’t focus on the trouble. Focus on God.

Can you do these three things?

I must admit that remaining patient in times of trouble is difficult, but if we put our faith and trust in God, remain focused as we rejoice in Him while praying without ceasing, we can remain patient!

Prayer: Father God, my hope is in You! I will remain focused on You and Your WORD. My life will be filled with rejoicing and prayer!
As I do these, I will exercise patience in times of trouble! Amen.
