Now He entered the synagogue again, and a man was there who had a paralyzed hand. In order to accuse Him, they were watching Him closely to see whether He would heal him on the Sabbath. He told the man with the paralyzed hand, “Stand before us.”
Mark 3:1-3 HCSB
Good morning fellow disciples.
Sometimes we are placed in positions where we know that if we do something we will be condemned. Sometimes what we will do is something that God will be pleased with, but because of the religious climate that we live in or worship in, we find ourselves limiting what we do in front of certain persons.
If you’re living in a legalistic religious environment, you may find it hard to act compassionately like Jesus did because of the dissenting voices of persons in your “Church”.
Do you want to be like Jesus?
Well, in this situation Jesus called the man up front, to stand infront of everyone and then made this statement in Mark 3:4-5: “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do what is good or to do what is evil, to save life or to kill? ”
But they were silent. After looking around at them with anger and sorrow at the hardness of their hearts, He told the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out, and his hand was restored.
SHAME THEM JESUS! What a bunch of hypocrites!
Shame them by doing what is right in the sight of God!
Shame them by being compassionate!
Shame them by freeing this man who was held captive by the devil!
Once more I ask:”Do you want to be like Jesus?”
If you do:
Don’t be afraid of what people think!
Do what God has called you to do!
Shame the religious people by obeying God and doing His will!
Powerful devotion. I want to be like Jesus. I will strive to do so by obeying God.
I’m bless n challenge. Thank you my brother for that reminder, that Gods glory is for us to be like Jesus 🙌😃. So help me Lord to be like you n shame the devil.
