When He entered Capernaum again after some days, it was reported that He was at home. So many people gathered together that there was no more room, not even in the doorway, and He was speaking the message to them.
Mark 2:1-2 HCSB
Good morning fellow disciples.
The Bible says that Jesus lived in Capernaum. He had a house there, but He traveled to many other villages and towns to preach the gospel of the Kingdom of God. From time to time He would return to His home.
On one of these occasions the people heard that He was home and they came to see Him there. When they came to His home Jesus began to teach them.
In the Bible we see that Jesus used every opportunity and every place to proclaim the Word of God. He did it in the temple, many synagogues, as He walked along the road, in person’s homes, out in the wilderness, and in His own home.
Do you teach or preach the Word of God in your home?
Do you fellowship with persons there, teaching the Word of God, healing the sick, and casting out demons?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I love learning about You and the life that You lived here on Earth. I am happy that You invited persons into Your own home and taught them there. I’m happy to learn that the fullness of Your ministry was experienced by others in Your home.
Lord I want to be like You. Help me to not be afraid of using my home as a place of ministry. I want to see person saved, healed, and delivered. Help me to open my home to others so that they can experience the fullness of Your Kingdom. Amen
