And He did not speak to them without a parable. Privately, however, He would explain everything to His own disciples.
Mark 4:34 HCSB
Good morning fellow disciples.
We all know that Jesus spoke to those around Him in a way that they did not understand at times. He spoke to the masses in parables and even though He had His disciples with Him at all times, they also did not understand the parables.
In His private time with His disciples He would teach them and explain the parables to them. He also gave them the keys to the kingdom. He shared information with them that He did not share with the general public. He opened up, and explained the scriptures in ways that made them wise.
For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.
Proverbs 2:6 HCSB
Jesus was great at imparting knowledge and understanding to His disciples because of His fellowship and relationship with God. He had God’s Holy Spirit within Him, and as He said ‘everything He spoke was from God.’
What is your relationship with God like?
Are you filled with His Holy Spirit and are you allowing God to speak through you?
In order to impart Godly wisdom to your disciples you need to be fully surrendered to God. You need to speak HIS words.
Prayer: Father God, thank You for making me Your child. I learn from Your Word, I learn from the life of Jesus, and I learn from Your Holy Spirit who lives within Me. As I continue to make disciples for Your kingdom help me to impart wisdom to them by being obedient to Your will. Amen
