Good morning fellow disciples.
Has God directed you to go into ministry?
In order to fulfill God’s call on your life you need to get baptized like Jesus.
Jesus knew His calling. He knew that before He could fulfill God’s call on His life, He would have to be baptized. He was baptized by John to show the world that He was submitted to God.
In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the Wilderness of Judea and saying, “Repent, because the kingdom of heaven has come near! ” Then people from Jerusalem, all Judea, and all the vicinity of the Jordan were flocking to him, and they were baptized by him in the Jordan River as they confessed their sins.

When you get baptized in water you show the world that you are submitting to the Lord’s authority over your life and that you will live according to His kingdom principles.
We also know that God baptized Jesus with the Holy Spirit when He came up out of the water. It is this baptism that empowered Jesus to do what God called Him to do.
Do you want to be an effective witness for God like Jesus was?
Then not only do you have to be baptized in water to show the world that you are now a member of the kingdom of God, but you need to be baptized with God’s Holy Spirit to become His effective witness here on earth.
It is Jesus who baptizes with the Holy Spirit and with fire. Submit to Him and like He says, ask the Father for the Holy Spirit and He will give Him to you.
Today I implore you to be like Jesus and get baptized. Get baptized in water, and get baptized with the Holy Spirit of Almighty God!
Prayer: Father God, I want to be like Jesus. I want to be obedient like him and I want to serve You completely the way He did. I have shown the world that I have chosen Jesus as My Savior by being baptized in water. Now Lord, I ask You to baptize me with Your Holy Spirit and with fire so that I can be Your effective witness here on earth. Amen
