Be a Prepared Witness

By Andrew Williams

2 Timothy 4:2 NLT – Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.

Good morning fellow disciples.

Some of us only choose to preach the Word of God when it is favorable for us. But this is not what Paul tells us. He says that we should always be prepared to witness for Jesus regardless of whether the time is favorable or not.

Do you preach the Word of God in situations where you need to correct or rebuke people? Are you patient with them in these situations? Do you encourage them with good teaching?

There are many different ways that you can present the good news to people. We adjust our approach to witnessing based on the prevailing circumstances.

So, are you prepared to preach God’s Word whether the time is favorable or not?

Prayer: Father God, You have empowered us with the gift of Your Holy Spirit to be effective witnesses for You. We will go out and preach Your WORD in all situations! Amen.
