I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit!” Mark 1:8 NLT
Good morning fellow disciples.
Baptize can be defined as: to cleanse or purify.
Baptism is a ceremony in which a Christian is immersed in water before the church to publicly symbolize their belief in Christ. The water is a symbol of sin being washed away.
John the Baptist, the greatest prophet to ever live, made the profound statement that he could only baptize with water. What he did was only symbolic. The water baptism that he performed did not really cleanse the people of their sins. John baptized people who repented of their sins and turned to God.
John stated that another would come and baptize with the Holy Spirit. This is the true baptism that cleanses us and purifies us in the sight of God. Jesus Christ is the one who baptizes us with God’s Holy Spirit.
Have you been fully immersed in the Holy Spirit?
Have you been cleaned and made pure?
Have you been initiated into the Kingdom of God by being baptized by Jesus?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I want Your baptism! Baptize me with Your Holy Spirit! Amen
