Are You Representing God’s WORD

By Andrew Williams

No wonder the Scriptures say, “The Gentiles blaspheme the name of God because of you.”
Romans 2:24 NLT

Good morning fellow disciples.

WORD is defined as the expressed or manifested mind and will of God.

Are you faithfully representing God’s expressed or manifested mind and will?

In Romans chapter 2 Paul was speaking to the Jews. He reminds them that God’s expressed mind and will was given to them through the scriptures. They knew the scriptures and they were teaching it to others, but they were not obeying it themselves.

Paul was giving them a stern rebuke. He summarized his points by saying: “ You are so proud of knowing the law, but you dishonor God by breaking it. No wonder the Scriptures say, “The Gentiles blaspheme the name of God because of you.”
Romans 2:23‭-‬24 NLT‬‬‬‬

Are you like these Jews?

Do you know God’s WORD, but you dishonor Him by breaking it?

Do you cause sinners to blaspheme God’s name because of how you act towards Him?

Examine yourself today:

1. Do you know God’s WORD but you’re not obeying it?

2. Are you causing others to blaspheme God’s WORD because of your actions?

3. What can you do to keep others from blaspheming God’s Holy WORD?

Prayer: Father God, I want to represent You well. I don’t only want to know Your WORD, I want to live Your WORD. I know that I have been failing in this regard, so I ask You to give me the desire and the power to live out Your expressed and manifested mind and will. Amen.
