Appointed Witness

By Andrew Williams

Acts of the Apostles 26:16 NLT – Now get to your feet! For I have appeared to you to appoint you as my servant and witness. Tell people that you have seen me, and tell them what I will show you in the future.

Good morning fellow disciples.

Paul was witnessing to rulers when he made this confession. He had been personally appointed by our Lord Jesus Christ as His servant and witness.

Paul’s duty was to tell others about this experience and what God would reveal to him afterwards. And Paul faithfully obeyed this command.

Fellow disciples, even though you may not have encountered Jesus the way Paul did, you too are appointed as Jesus’ witness. You too must tell others about how you were born again and what God has revealed to you through His Holy Spirit.

Have you been doing that?

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I am Your appointed witness. I will tell the world the good news about You. I will faithfully obey Your commands and live as your disciple, showing the world what it means to be a citizen of the Kingdom of God! Amen.
