AGAIN JESUS went into a synagogue, and a man was there who had one withered hand [as the result of accident or disease]. And [the Pharisees] kept watching Jesus [closely] to see whether He would cure him on the Sabbath, so that they might get a charge to bring against Him [formally]. And He said to the man who had the withered hand, Get up [and stand here] in the midst. And He said to them, Is it lawful and right on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to take it? But they kept silence. And He glanced around at them with vexation and anger, grieved at the hardening of their hearts, and said to the man, Hold out your hand. He held it out, and his hand was [completely] restored. Then the Pharisees went out and immediately held a consultation with the Herodians against Him, how they might [devise some means to] put Him to death.
Mark 3:1-6 AMPC
Good morning fellow disciples.
Have you ever tried having a conversation with judgmental persons? Isn’t it one of the hardest thing to do because they don’t want to listen to you, especially if what you are saying is something that they don’t want to hear?
In this passage we see that Jesus was the only one who was speaking verbally. However, the body language and the actions of the Pharisees were languages unto themselves. It’s like a scene from a movie playing out right in front of you.
Do you think that this man would be healed if Jesus was waiting for acknowledgment or permission from the Pharisees to heal him?
Do you think that if Jesus was afraid of them that He could do the miracles that He did?
Do persons around you remain unsaved, unhealed or bound by the devil because you are acting like the Pharisees and not like Jesus?
Examine yourself today and ask yourself these questions:
1. “Do I spend more time talking about healing, salvation and, deliverance instead of actually performing them?”
2. “Does my actions or inactions cause persons to remain bound by the devil instead of being set free?”
3. “When will I start healing people like Jesus did?”
It is time to renew our focus on Christ and be obedient disciples inspite of what others are saying.
Some soul searching questions? Got me thinking, I will have to start to do things differently.
