Good morning fellow disciples.
God made man to have fellowship and relationship with Him. He provided His scriptures to teach them, and His Presence and Power to reveal Himself to them.
But even with all God has provided we find ways to get it wrong. Why do we get it wrong?
Jesus said to them, Is not this where you wander out of the way and go wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God?
1. They have wondered out of the way.
Even though God gave them His Holy Scriptures, they turned away from His truth. They came up with their interpretation and ‘false doctrine’. Why did they wonder? Because they either listened to their own reasoning or listened to spirits that weren’t God’s Holy Spirit.
2. They did not know the Scriptures.
Why? They either were not spending time searching the Scriptures, were listening only to their rabbi’s interpretation of scripture or, they had no personal relationship with God.
3. They did not know the Power of God.
When they wondered away from God and we’re not living the way God required, they lost their fellowship with Him. They could no longer comprehend or experience the power of God.
Ponder seriously these questions:
Have you wondered out of the way and gone wrong?
Do you know the Scriptures?
Do you know the Power of God?
To know Him and to make Him known.
