A Conversation With Jesus About The Resurrection Of The Dead Part 2

Now there were seven brothers; the first one took a wife and died, leaving no children. And the second [brother] married her, and died, leaving no children; and the third did the same; And all seven, leaving no children. Last of all, the woman died also. Now in the resurrection, whose wife will she be? For the seven were married to her.
Mark 12:20‭-‬23 AMPC

Good morning fellow disciples.

Let us examine who’s asking the question.

“And [some] Sadducees came to Him, [of that party] who say there is no resurrection, and they asked Him a question.”

They say that there is no resurrection! Then after a carefully crafted story they ask: “Now in the resurrection, whose wife will she be? ”

The truth is, we are limited in our understanding. We can only base our views off of what we have been taught, what we observe, or what we have experienced. These men grew up under a religious system that taught them to believe that there was no resurrection of the dead.

They obviously knew of other beliefs, but they preached theirs.

The Sadducees “say” that their is no resurrection, but do they really believe it? Obviously, they were seeking for Jesus to confirm their belief or, they were trying to trick Him.

Whatever their reasoning, they chose the right person to question. Now, they would get revelation knowledge from the Son of God!

My fellow disciples, don’t be afraid to come to God with your questions. Even if your beliefs are wrong or you come to Him with ulterior motives, God will reveal the truth to you.

The pertinent question is: “ARE YOU WILLING TO LISTEN TO HIM?

Prayer: Father God, sometimes I really don’t understand the things of this life. I sometimes think that the questions that I ask You are foolish or unwarranted, but I just want to know Your truth.

Reveal Yourself to me, and give me knowledge and understanding so that I can live according to Your wisdom. Amen
