And [some] Sadducees came to Him, [of that party] who say there is no resurrection, and they asked Him a question, saying, Teacher, Moses gave us [a law] that if a man’s brother died, leaving a wife but no child, the man must marry the widow and raise up offspring for his brother. [Deut. 25:5.]

Good morning fellow disciples.
Does it amaze you that people want to argue about what they don’t believe in?
Here we see the Sadducees who do not believe in resurrection seeking an audience with Jesus to talk about resurrection. Ahhmm, why? I don’t get it. Why waste your time talking about something you don’t believe in?
I’ve done it in the past. It’s unproductive, so I try to avoid such conversations. However, as a disciple of Jesus Christ, maybe I need to rethink being a part of conversations with people who like to argue about what they don’t believe in.
Why?
Because, Jesus always has something to teach from the conversations He engages in. As His disciple, who has His Holy Spirit in me, I can give wise responses like Jesus. These responses can help them to see the truth, as well as help others from falling prey to these people’s false beliefs.
Prayer: Father God, give me wisdom to speak Your truth in all my conversations. Amen.
