And when Jesus saw that he answered intelligently (discreetly and having his wits about him), He said to him, You are not far from the kingdom of God. And after that no one v entured or dared to ask Him any further question.

Good morning fellow disciples.
We realize that the scribe was evaluating and admiring Jesus for His answers. But now we see Jesus evaluating the scribe and also admiring him for his answers.
What a joy it must have been for Jesus, after having arguments with other persons, to find someone who was focused on God and the correct interpretation of scripture!
It is short conversations like these that sometimes allow us to come out of the discouragement that we feel when we speak to many persons. Sometimes the conversations that we have with fellow disciples are so disheartening. Sometimes we just want to get away from them and their interpretation of scriptures. Sometimes we want to give up because everyone else is saying something and accepting things that are contrary to scripture.
But then God sends someone to encourage our hearts by showing us that there are others like us who understand Scripture, who stand by Scripture, and who are living according to the Holy Scriptures of God.
Even though sometimes we are from different schools of thought, when we encourage each other through the Word of God, we cause each other to grow closer to God.
As we fellowship with each other let us focus on what is truly important. Let us focus on God! Let us focus on His Word! And, let us focus on being obedient to Him in All things!
