It is like a man [already] going on a journey; when he leaves home, he puts his servants in charge, each with his particular task, and he gives orders to the doorkeeper to be constantly alert and on the watch.

Good morning fellow disciples.
Jesus is going on a journey, a journey back to His Father in heaven.
But guess what?
He has left His servants in charge. He left His original disciples and apostles in charge, giving them particular tasks. He gave orders to the doorkeeper to be constantly alert and on watch.
Are you a doorkeeper?
Are you constantly alert?
Are you constantly watching for your master’s return?
Do you have other tasks that you are supposed to be doing?
Are you doing them?
How well are you doing them?
Are you faithfully carrying out your master’s instructions?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for leaving us in charge of Your Kingdom while You are away. In full surrender and submission, we will obey the directions that You have given us.
Lord Jesus, we love You, and we want to see Your Kingdom grow. We want to see it expand, and we will do our best to preach the gospel and make disciples so that your Kingdom will advance, grow, flourish, and prosper until You return. Amen.
