And Jesus began to tell them, Be careful and watchful that no one misleads you [about it]. Mark 13:5 AMPC
Good morning fellow disciples.
A prophet is:
1. one who utters divinely inspired revelations,
2. one who foretells future events,
3. a person regarded as an inspired teacher or proclaimer of the will of God.
Jesus begins to answer His disciples questions with a warning. He tells them to be careful of persons who might mislead them.
“Be careful and watchful that no one misleads you [about it].”
LET NO ONE MISLEAD YOU ABOUT PROPHECY!
Among the divinely revealed revelations of God are the Holy Scriptures along with other prophecies. There are so many interpretations of scripture that some of these interpretations may misleads us!
These interpretations are either:
1. so far fetched that you know that they don’t line up with scripture or,
2. they are a close interpretation to what is true but still misleads us.
Jesus’ warning to His disciples still hold true today! We need to be careful and watchful that no one misleads us about Jesus’ words, revelations, or prophecies.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I will be careful not to be misled by persons who claim to know the meaning of Your scriptures, Your revelations, and Your prophecies. I will be watchful so that I will not be deceived and, so that I will help others not to be deceived either. Amen
