A Conversation With Jesus About His Prophetic Utterance Part 18 – Signs of Jesus’ Return

By Andrew Williams – September 7, 2022

But in those days, after [the affliction and oppression and distress of] that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; [Isa. 13:10.] And the stars will be falling from the sky, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. [Isa. 34:4.]
Mark 13:24‭-‬25 AMPC

Good morning, fellow disciples.

Jesus had previously warned his disciple that when the tribulation that he predicted occurred, he would not be present. He now tells them the signs of his impending return. He states that after the tribulation that he predicted the sun would be darkened, the moon would not give its light, the stars would fall from the sky, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.

What does Jesus mean by the powers in the heavens will be shaken?

Shake is defined as: to tremble as a result of physical or emotional disturbance; to experience a state of instability or; to cause to quake, quiver, or tremble.

There are different hierarchies of powers or thrones in the heavens. Some of these belong to the Kingdom of God, and some belong to the kingdom of the devil. After the tribulation, we note that Jesus says that these powers will be shaken, they will tremble, they will quiver and, they will quake.

What this signifies is that both the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth will know when Jesus is about to return.

Are you prepared for Jesus’ return?

Are you helping others to prepare for Jesus’ return?

Let us keep on teaching the truth of Jesus prophetic utterances, so that in the future, persons who might come after us will be able to know the true signs of His return.

  1. Some will be alive when Jesus return while some would have died, but we will all stand before the judgement to give account for our deeds.
Let us all do our part while it is day and be ready when He comes.
