A Conversation With Jesus About Becoming A Kingdom Citizen Part 10

Jesus said, Truly I tell you, there is no one who has given up and left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands for My sake and for the Gospel’s Who will not receive a hundred times as much now in this time–houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions–and in the age to come, eternal life.
Mark 10:29‭-‬30 AMPC

Good morning fellow disciples.

Family can be defined as a group of individuals living under one roof and usually under one head.
Have you left your family for the sake of the gospel and for Jesus?

Many of us are born into families who worship God so we don’t have to give up our family to become a part of the family of God. There are others who become a part of the family of God but they don’t give up their family who have not decided to become a part of the kingdom of God.

Then they are the ones who lose their families because they choose to serve the true and living God. When they choose to become Kingdom citizens they are disowned by their family and lose all the rights and privileges to what they would have inherited.

No matter which category we fall under, whenever we become Kingdom citizens we gain other family members. We become members of a new family. This family can be defined as a group of people united by certain convictions or a common affiliation.

God becomes our Father, Jesus Is our Lord and, we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. The number of family members that we gain is innumerable, and we all share an eternal possession.

In this life we gain more brothers and sisters than those that we lose by choosing to follow Christ. In the Life to come, our family will be the largest and the most long-standing one.

We may suffer persecution for a while, but the benefits of being a part of the family of God far outways all tribulation.

Prayer: Thank You Lord for giving me the the opportunity to choose my family. I choose to be a part of Your family. I leave everything and all my ungodly “family members” to be a part of Your family and Your household.

Thank You for making me Your child! I’m so glad I’m a part of the family of God! Thank You God! Thank You for my many new brothers and sisters, and thank You for making me one of Your Kingdom citizens for all eternity. Amen
