A Conversation with Jesus About Authority Part 7

Then Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Matthew 28:18 HCSB

Good morning fellow disciples.

Authority is defined as “the power or right to give orders, make decisions, and enforce obedience.”

After His death, burial, and resurrection Jesus revealed to His disciples the sort of authority that He had. He had authority over everything, everywhere!

So, Jesus has the power or right to give orders, make decisions, and enforce obedience in both heaven and earth!

This is the master we serve!

This is the Lord who takes care of us!

This is the high priest who serves in God’s Presence on our behalf!

Jesus, who has all authority everywhere, is the one who authorizes us to be His faithful, effective disciples! Not only does He tell us to go and make other effective disciples, He also sends His Holy Spirit to live in us and empower us to live in all aspects like He did.

Will you follow His orders, live by His decisions, and walk in obedience to Him?

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I will live under your authority!

I will be obedient to Your command in Matthew 28:19‭-‬20 HCSB to: “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
