A Beggar’s Conversation With Jesus Part 6

Then Jesus answered him, “What do you want Me to do for you? ” “Rabbouni,” the blind man told Him, “I want to see! ”
Mark 10:51 HCSB

Good morning fellow disciples.

When we want to have a conversation with someone, sometimes it just doesn’t happen spontaneously. We have to be deliberate in effecting a plan to get into their presence. So far in this series we see that Bartimaeus heard that Jesus was close by, he started shouting to get Jesus’ attention, he persisted in shouting until Jesus instructed others to call Bartimaeus to come to Him.

Now, having caught Jesus’ attention by shouting and being brought into Jesus’ presence, their conversation could begin.

You know, sometimes you think you are just talking and the person you’re talking to is not listening. However they hear you even if they don’t respond. This is how we sometimes feel when we talk to God. We feel as if we are the only ones talking and God is not listening, however, God hears and He will respond.

Notice what the verse says: “Then Jesus answered him, “What do you want Me to do for you? ” “Rabbouni,” the blind man told Him, “I want to see! ” Mark 10:51 HCSB

Then Jesus answered him! In everybody else’s minds, Bartimaeus was just shouting. However, Jesus saw it as the beginning of their conversation and He responded to him.

My brothers and sisters, keep on talking to God, keep on pouring out your heart to Him, because He is hearing you! He will call you to Himself and continue the conversation.

What do you want God to do for you?

Tell It To Him!
