A Beggar’s Conversation With Jesus Part 5

He threw off his coat, jumped up, and came to Jesus.
Mark 10:50 HCSB

Good morning fellow disciples.

“Have courage! Get up; He’s calling for you.” These were the words that blind Bartimaeus wanted to hear. The Lord was calling him! The son of God stopped and called him!

How would you feel if after crying out to God so loudly and for so long you heard God say, come here my child!?

WOW!

God has heard me! God is calling me!

Bartimaeus threw off his coat, jumped up, and came to Jesus. He must have been overjoyed. The first part of his plan was accomplished. He had gotten the attention of the Lord Jesus Christ. Not only had he gotten the attention of Jesus, but Jesus Himself had called him.

We also need to be persistent until the first stage of our plan is complete. What is that plan? It is a seek the Lord with all our hearts until He responds!

Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you.
Matthew 7:7 AMPC

Today, be encouraged, God has heard you and He has called you into His presence! Throw off your coat, jump up, and go to Him!
