A Beggar’s Conversation With Jesus Part 4

Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called the blind man and said to him, “Have courage! Get up; He’s calling for you.”
Mark 10:49 HCSB

Good morning fellow disciples.

God hears when you cry out to him! God is interested in you! When He sees your determination and your desire for Him, He will stop and invite you into His presence.

Don’t give up! Keep on crying out to God! He will respond to you!

Isn’t it amazing that, with His disciples around Him and a large crowd around Him, that Jesus heard Bartimaeus?

Sometimes the Lord has His people around Him along with the crowd, but they are just talking stuff that He doesn’t really want to hear. What He really wants is someone who is truly seeking Him, someone who is desperate, someone who will put aside their pride to cry out to Him. This was how Bartimaeus was in the presence of the Son of God, and Jesus had no choice but to hear him.

Isn’t it wonderful that Jesus told the same persons who were telling Bartimaeus to shut up to call him?

I love it! I love it! I love it!

My fellow disciples, even though persons around you may be dissuading you from seeking God the way that you want, don’t give up. God will sometimes use them to call you to Him. They will be humbled by your persistence! If they are humble enough they will learn what it is to be desperate, and what it is to be compassionate.

They will learn to be like you, and they will learn to be like Jesus.

Prayer : I believe the words of the song are: “I am determined to hold on till the end, Jesus the blessed savior, on him I will depend.”

Lord Jesus, I am determined. I will keep on holding on, I will keep on crying out to You, I will keep on seeking You, I will keep on knocking on that door, I will keep on asking until You, until You Blessed Savior show up and deliver me.

Amen
