So they replied to Jesus, We do not know. And Jesus said to them, Neither am I going to tell you what [sort of] authority I have for doing these things.

Good morning fellow disciples.
Authority is defined as “the power or right to give orders, make decisions, and enforce obedience.”
Because of Jesus’ relationship with God He was able to know the hearts of these men. If you are a disciple of Christ who is fully abiding in Him and allowing Him to abide in you, you also can know the hearts of men.
Jesus did not waste His time with them. He called them out and when they gave their response He could easily give them His.
“Neither am I going to tell you what [sort of] authority I have for doing these things.”
Don’t waste time with persons having arguments about things that they will never accept! Even if they have the titles or the accolades but they are saying things that goes against God’s gospel and His kingdom, don’t justify their questions by answering them.
Like Jesus, when you realize who persons are, and if they are like these religious leaders, do not justify your source of authority to them!
