Week 36: The Major Voices (Isaiah, Jeremiah & Ezekiel)
Anchor Scripture: “And He said to me, ‘Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, “O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!”’ … So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone.” — Ezekiel 37:4, 7 (NKJV)
The Teaching
Ezekiel 37 gives us the most powerful demonstration of the Reconstructive Power of the prophetic word (Month 5). Ezekiel was taken to a valley filled with “very dry” bones—a picture of a people who were not only dead but had been dead for a very long time. There was no life, no hope, and no organization. But God didn’t ask Ezekiel to “mourn” the bones; He asked him to “Prophesy to the bones.”
This reveals a hallmark of the Ezekiel archetype: Structural Resurrection. The prophetic word has the power to bring Order out of Chaos. Notice the sequence: first, the bones came together “bone to bone.” The structure was restored before the life returned. The Prophet’s word acts as a “Spiritual Magnet” that pulls the pieces of a broken family, a dead church, or a scattered vision back into their proper alignment.
To carry the Ezekiel DNA is to realize that you are an Architect of the Impossible. You are authorized to speak to things that look “permanently dead.” You don’t just “talk about” the dry bones; you command them to hear. Your voice provides the “Rattling”—the shaking that signifies that God is reclaiming His territory. You are the one who speaks the “Sustenance” (breath) into the “Skeleton” (structure).
Prophetic Insight
Maturity means you refuse to accept “Natural Finality.” If you walk into a “Valley of Dry Bones”—a situation that looks dry, scattered, and hopeless—your “Seer Advantage” (Day 258) should see an “Exceedingly Great Army.” The Ezekiel-type prophet is the enemy of despair. You provide the Church with the Hope of the Skeleton. You say, “I see the bones rattling! I see the pieces coming back together!” Your job is to stay in the valley and keep prophesying until the “Dry Place” becomes a “Living Force.” Never stop at the “Rattling.” Keep speaking until the “Breath” (the Spirit) fills the lungs of the vision. You are a herald of resurrection.
The Activation
Identify a “Dry Valley” in your life today—a dream that died years ago, a relationship that is “skeletal,” or a ministry that has no life. Today, perform an Ezekiel Decree. Point your finger at that dry situation and say: “Dry Bones, hear the Word of the Lord! I command you to come together! I prophesy order to this chaos! I call for the Breath of God to fill this situation! Arise as a mighty army in the Name of Jesus!”
Daily Prayer: Lord God, I thank You that You are the Resurrection and the Life. I ask today for the Ezekiel anointing to prophesy to the dry bones. Forgive me for agreeing with the ‘death’ of my circumstances. I choose to speak life and order today. Let my voice be the sound that brings Your people back together. I decree that the dry places in my life are becoming a mighty army for Your Glory. Amen.
