Week 23: The Issachar Anointing (Times & Seasons)
Anchor Scripture: “…because you did not know the time of your visitation.” — Luke 19:44 (NKJV)
The Teaching
In our journey through the Issachar anointing, we must distinguish between the season and the Moment. While a season (Day 162) is a long-term climate, a Kairos Window is a specific, time-sensitive opening in the Spirit. The word Kairos does not refer to tick-tock time, but to “opportune time.” It is a divine appointment where the “heavens are open” over a specific situation, making a miracle, a breakthrough, or a conversion suddenly possible.
Jesus wept over Jerusalem because they missed their “time of visitation.” The window was open, the King was in their midst, and the opportunity for national redemption was present—but because they were looking through the lens of Chronos (natural history) instead of Kairos (divine opportunity), the window closed.
The Watchman is the one who identifies these windows for the Body of Christ. You are like an air traffic controller who sees the “gap” in the clouds where the plane can land safely. You sense when a heart is suddenly “ripe” for the Gospel, or when a church is in a “three-day window” of unusual glory where anything is possible. Identifying these windows ensures that the Church does not waste its strength trying to force a door that is currently locked, but instead puts all its energy into the door that God has just opened.
Prophetic Insight
A Kairos window usually feels like a “stirring of the water.” Think of the Pool of Bethesda—the healing didn’t happen all day; it only happened when the angel stirred the water. The Watchman senses the stirring. You will feel a sudden “urge” to pray for someone right now, or a sudden “unction” to speak a word in a meeting. If you wait until later, the window may be shut. Do not let the “routine” of your life cause you to miss the “visitation” of your God. When you sense a Kairos moment, drop everything else. These windows are short-lived, but they accomplish more in five minutes than natural labor can accomplish in five years.
The Activation
Throughout your day, ask the Holy Spirit to show you “Open Windows.” Instead of following your “to-do” list rigidly, stay flexible. If you feel a sudden, strong impression to call someone, to sow a seed, or to stop and pray, recognize it as a possible Kairos. Act on it immediately. Notice the “ease” of the Spirit when you move through an open window versus the “struggle” of moving in your own timing.
Daily Prayer: Lord God, I thank You that You are the God of the Visitation. I ask for eyes to see the ‘Kairos windows’ You are opening today. Forgive me for being so locked into my schedule that I miss Your appointments. Sharpen my discernment to recognize the ‘stirring of the water.’ Give me the courage to move when You move, so that I may see Your power manifest in my life and my city. Amen.
